Namaste, I’m Jia, co-founder of Vedalife – The Earthisanal Wellness Company, an eco-conscious, artisanal lifestyle brand deeply rooted in the principles of Ayurveda, sustainability, and soulful living.
While Vedalife was originally born in the Prairie city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, we are now based in the serene mountain town of Mission, British Columbia—a move inspired by a desire to reconnect more closely with nature and align our surroundings with our brand ethos.
Vedalife was created from a deeply personal space. Over the years, my son and I have faced our own individual health challenges, and with a family history of autoimmune conditions, I was determined to seek more holistic forms of healing. That journey led me back to my roots in India, where I was born and raised in a spiritually rich household. My father, a renowned spiritual healer and Vedic teacher, raised us in an environment where Ayurveda, Yoga, chakras, mantras, and mysticism weren’t foreign concepts—they were part of our daily rhythm.
Yet somewhere along the way—amidst the pace of modern life and movement across continents—I lost that sacred connection.
Vedalife is my way back.
As I delved deeper into Vedic living, I was not only reawakened to its healing power, but also struck by how sustainable and eco-conscious this ancient wisdom truly is. It honored the Earth as much as it healed the self. Upon researching, I also found so much scientific validation for what Ayurveda has known all along, and I knew I had to share it.
With renewed purpose, I envisioned Vedalife as a sanctuary of wellness— Inclusive in Spirit, Intentional in Craftsmanship, and Grounded in Earth-honouring Values……. a portal where ancient wisdom meets everyday life, for everyone, everywhere.
Today, Vedalife is a small, family-owned, woman-led business, built with love, learning, and lots of late nights. I wear many hats, but I’m supported by my incredible husband (who somehow juggles his own corporate career while still stepping in when needed), my amazing team of artisans, my digital team, and also my son—my biggest supporter, whose warm hugs are my daily recharge.
